To Mandy, the Art of Hospitality means “presenting professionalism, authenticity, compassion, honesty and creativity like you’ve never experienced, leaving a lasting positive impression with all we serve.”
Mandy has worked in floral design for 26 years, 10 of which she had her own small business. While providing the Art of Hospitality, Mandy creates floral design and décor proposals for all our events based on our client’s vision for their event. After getting feedback from the client on the proposal, Mandy then uses her talents to make the proposal come to life. From extravagant to minimalist and everything in between, she can create it!
When asked what she loves most about working for HORIZONS, Mandy said, “first and foremost, my colleagues. In such a short amount of time, I have forged some great relationships. The atmosphere is fast paced and busy, but everyone still finds the time for a “how is your day?” and a smile.” Mandy also noted that she loves being able to express her creativity through her work.
She has several favorite memories from working here. The memory that sticks with her the most is from a late-night shift, where she was preparing for two huge back-to-back events, our leadership team worked alongside Mandy into the late hours of the night until the job was complete. She said that this made her appreciate her coworkers and job so much more!
When she’s not at HORIZONS, Mandy enjoys being outside as much as possible – no matter the weather. Sunny, snowing, raining or dark – she always finds something to do that keeps her outside for as long as possible. Also, when not at work and using her skills in floral design, she can be found at home doing something creative in nature. Mandy has a love for lilacs – it is not only her favorite flower, but her favorite color and scent as well! She loves spending time with her children… doing everything and nothing with them, skiing, road trips on the Harley Davidson motorcycle, and has recently picked up golf. Her immediate family members are all very supportive and excited for her to be living out her passion through her work at HORIZONS!
